尊敬的老师、亲爱的同学们大家好！
法国著名思想家伏尔泰有这样一句名言：“生命在于运动”，没有运动也就没有了生命，缺少运动的生命也是短暂的。体育运动让我们充满活力，充满青春的激傲。我们的青春是多姿多彩的。走进青春，你所见到的、闻到的、听到的是俯拾不尽的美丽，身心自会享有言说不尽的喜悦。魅力体育造就了活力青春，活力青春孕育了魅力体育。
散发着风华正茂的蓬勃朝气，闪耀着自信雄健的青春光芒，为大力弘扬奥林匹克精神，传承奥运文化，同时丰富校园生活，提高学生身体素质，我校第38届春季运动会也即将拉开帷幕。运动不仅让人健康，而且让人健美。因此，我们需要提倡运动。我想，学校举办运动会的意义，绝不是参加某项比赛取得好的名次，而是通过这种形式，带动运动的热情，明确运动的意义，全面提高我们的素质。
运动场上，运动员们自然会成为我们关注的焦点。“重在参与”展现着你们的积极心态，“为班争光”则蕴含着你们的集体主义情怀，“虽败犹荣”更是深含着你们乐观向上的情操。赛场上人人都是胜利者。运动员展现在我们面前的永远是朝气蓬勃、永不言败的战斗豪情。我们渴望，我们支持，我们为获胜者喝彩，我们也为失败者鼓掌。在竞技场上，我们证明自我，让生活更丰富，使生命更精彩。接受挑战，我们会更坚强；直面困难，我们会更自信。校运会在带给我们欢声笑语的同时，也让我们在竞技中成熟，在拼搏中成长。
我们是自己的主人，一切由我们主宰。我们应该激活每一个沉睡的运动细胞，让自己成为运动的主人，成为运动场上那颗最耀眼的星星。不要畏惧对手的强大，你的对手就是你自己，付出的汗水一定会得到回报。春风会为你喝彩，阳光会为你庆功，掌声就要为你响起！

As time goes by, sports have become more and more important in people’s lives.
People take part in different kinds of sports, like football, basketball, table tennis, swimming and so on. Sports are popular all over the world. People also like watching sports matches. Sports stars are very popular with people, especially students.
The reason why sports are so popular is that sports can keep our bodies fit. Sports also help us to become strong. Besides this, they can also help us to keep good figures.
There are sports matches nearly every day, but the most important and famous events are the Olympic Games. And now let me tell you sth. about Olympic Ideal.
The Olympic Games are the world’s pageant of athletic skill and competitive spirit. They are also displays of nationalism, commerce and politics. The Olympic ideal goes beyond victories and records to fair-play, friendship, and ultimate peace. The goal of Olympism is to place sport everywhere at the service of the harmonious development of man, with a view to encouraging the establishment of a peaceful society concerned with the preservation of human dignity.
Sports are truly global activities that extend into the union of the lives of all people. The Olympic symbol represents the union of the five continents and the meeting of the athletes of the world at the Olympic Games. When we meet at international sporting events, we share in the glow of world-class competition, in the heartbreak of losing, in the glory of winning, but most importantly, in the goodwill of participation.
